Maine based artist inspired by the coastal environments and working landscapes of New England. With a degree in Conservation Biology, I’ve always been interested in wildlife, ecosystems, and the relationship between people and the natural world. That background continues to influence what I notice and what I choose to create.
I work across several mediums, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media. I’m especially drawn to reclaimed materials like driftwood, lobster trap rope, old marine equipment, and other objects with a history of their own. I like the challenge of taking something that has been discarded and giving it a new purpose.
Much of my work focuses on fish, wildlife, and the coastal environments I’m surrounded by. These subjects come from a combination of observation, experience, and a lifelong interest in the natural world.
Working across different mediums keeps the process open and allows each material to shape the work. At its core, my art is about nature, reuse, and finding new ways to interpret the places and things that inspire me.
My work has been featured in On The Water and Down East magazines and is represented by Flood Tide Gallery & Mystic Osprey Gallery
